DEAR FRIENDS,
In times of uncertainty, The Woodlands remains a steadfast anchor. As stewards of these 54 acres in West Philadelphia, we pride ourselves on maintaining a welcoming, beautiful, and nurturing haven for all who pass through the gates. We cannot do this work without the help and support of our community.
One community that greatly contributes to this work is the Grave Gardeners. Ten years ago, we put out a call to help us garden some untended graves, and we were flooded with volunteers. The group became The Woodlands Grave Gardeners. Today, the program has grown to 160 volunteers gardening 250 adopted cradle graves, adding life and color to the grounds. Our program has inspired historie cemeteries around the world.
We invite you to join us at The Woodlands Annual Benefit on Thursday, June 12th, where we will celebrate the 10th Year of the Grave Gardeners and toast to ten more.
The event will feature food and drinks from fabulous local vendors and a silent auction, with the cemetery's late spring beauty as our backdrop.
