Pack a picnic and your flashlights for NATURE NIGHTS at The Woodlands this summer! Each month you’ll have a chance to spend some after-dark time inside the gates learning more about this important urban ecosystem and the creatures who call it home. Treat yourself to local ice cream and popsicles from neighborhood vendors, and take part in fun activities and crafts for all ages.
Bring a picnic and your flashlight on THURSDAY, July 24 from 6-9 P.M. for a rare chance to spend the evening in the Cemetery after dark and learn about moths. Create some pretty amazing nighttime crafts with University City Arts League, and find out more about moth enviroments from a science educator. Join us in creating a living "Moth Wall" after dark!
For prime moth-viewing, plan to stay until 9 pm! (Fireflies are still plentiful, too--plan to catch [and release] a few while you're here!)
Sweet treats from our friends at Lil’ Pop Shop will be available for sale.
This event is FREE and open to the public!
In the event of inclement weather, Moth Night will be cancelled and notice will be posted on our website and social media pages at least 2 hours prior to the event start time.
