For over a decade, regional audiences have applauded the Pyxis Piano Quartet. In April and September, this spirited ensemble returns to The Woodlands for two afternoons of exciting chamber music.
To celebrate the centennial of the 19th amendment, the ensemble will feature works by four women: Lili Boulanger (from the early 20th century) and contemporary composers Judith Weir, Sophia Serghi, and Gwyneth Walker. Walker’s Letters to the World also honors National Poetry Month – its five movements inspired and accompanied by Emily Dickinson poems.
Known for adventurous repertoire, Pyxis explores chamber music both old and new. The Woodlands is delighted to again present them in the Hamilton Mansion ballroom!
Seating is limited in this intimate space
