Karaoke in the Cemetery: A Night of Grief Karaoke
Friday, September 26
Doors open at 6:30 PM
Karaoke from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Join artist Leigh Davis for Karaoke in the Cemetery at The Woodlands. “Conceived as a transient experience, Karaoke in the Cemetery creates a platform for participants to express and share in grief responses through the act of singing together.”
About the project: Karaoke in the Cemetery invites everyone to gather in the cemetery to sing, listen, dance, or make a raucous or emotional mess together, shattering cultural expectations that grief should be kept silent. Karaoke is more than just the singing of a song; it's an outlet for emotions to break from everyday life. Allowing our grief to spill out through vibrations that echo into the here and now, let's celebrate our simultaneous existence. This event is hosted by The Woodlands, artist Leigh Davis, and Past Present Projects.
Pre-registration required. You do not need to sing to participate in A Night of Grief Karaoke.
If inclement weather occurs, this event will be postponed to Saturday, September 27.
