Jane Austen Promenade
Saturday, April 15th, 2023
3:00pm - 6:00pm

Promenade (Noun)
leisurely walk or ride especially in a public place for pleasure or display

Inspired by the works of Jane Austen and the English garden estates The Woodlands was designed after, the Jane Austen Promenade is a chance to take a stroll like Julie Andrews is narrating your life. Dress in your regency best and dance with West Philly Square Dance, pack a picnic, enjoy a pleasure garden, and get creative with a make-your-own trifle bar.

West Philly Square Dance is a community organization that puts on square dances in Philadelphia. They have live musicians and a Dance Caller, who teaches and leads the dancing. No partner or previous dance experience is necessary. All dances are taught - come dance!

Ticket Prices: Pay what you can: $10 - $30
(For a sliding scale to work, those who have access to financial resources should pay more, in order for those who have fewer financial resources to be able to access services.)
