Picnic Inquiries (PLEASE READ):
Please note that the site receives numerous requests for picnics and gatherings every day. The Woodlands is not a public park; this National Historic Landmark is privately owned and operated, a 501c3 nonprofit, and an active working cemetery. Maintaining the serene nature of the landscape when public and private events are not taking place is a priority aligned with our mission.
Capacity for group gatherings larger than 10 people is limited and requires a signed rental contract, Certificate of Insurance, and fee, starting at $250 per hour, unless otherwise noted in writing.
The site welcomes groups of less than 10 individuals (this number includes children) to gather without a formal contract. If you are interested in pursuing an hourly picnic rental, you will receive a response to your inquiry within 7 business days.
All Other Private Event Inquiries
If you’d like to schedule a tour, please let us know! You are welcome to visit the grounds while the gates are open, daily from dawn until dusk. We also encourage you to check out our Event Space Tour Video to envision the venue options.
We offer customizable packages to meet the needs and budget of our guests, including discounted rates for guest counts under 50 people, and hourly pricing for micro-events, including micro-weddings. As your event date approaches, we will keep you updated regarding our capacity.
