POP Learning Orchard:
Awakening! Plants and People in Spring

Workshop Description: This medicinal herb-focused plant walk/sit will happen inside the learning orchard at the Woodlands. Meet and learn about some of the plants in POP’s native herb row, as well as other shrubs, and trees around the orchard space. We’ll look at what’s coming up and what’s changing energetically – for plants and humans alike. Participants will have time to ask questions and sit/observe plants, with time for journaling. Light refreshments provided. Bring a journal and a blanket!
Teacher Bio: Kenton Cobb is a Clinical Herbalist based in Lenapehoking (Philadelphia). They love to connect people to local plants, native and non-native alike, through classes about medicine making, medicinal herbs, and plant identification and ecology. They currently see clients privately and teach in the Clinical Herbalism program at Commonwealth Herbs.
Location: This workshop will take place at the POP Learning Orchard at the Woodlands in West Philly. 4000 Woodland Avenue.
Accessibility Notes:
During this workshop we will be planting and talking through the orchard. We will make several stops through the space. Chairs and benches will be available for seating.
Enter the cemetery on Woodland Avenue. When you enter turn to the right and walk up toward the orchard. You will see the black gates to the learning orchard a sign in table.
